Ethan MacDonald is a professional engineer and postdoctoral researcher in the area of magnetic resonance imaging and cardiovascular aging at the University of Calgary with Bruce Pike. He has received an engineering undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and PhD in Biomedical Engineering. Ethan also volunteers as Canadian Ski Patrol at Kickinghorse.
Current research projects include comparing large open source imaging databases of the lifespan and investigating the effects of aging on the cerebral vasculature. Technical skills are applied to open source pulse programming projects and to big data and machine learning applications. The aim is to improve the understanding of the process to help fight aging.
