The CONP Portal is a web interface that simplifies access to and sharing of datasets and tools, thereby facilitating the practice of open science in the neuroscience community. The CONP Portal internalizes the typical cycle of a research project, beginning with data acquisition, followed by data processing with published tools, and ultimately the publication of results with a link to the original dataset.
Its design is unusual among data-sharing initiatives: data can reside on many infrastructures, local or remote, while a single search of their standard metadata spans them all. Researchers can go from discovery to analysis on their own computer or, through CBRAIN, the platform of our partners at The Neuro, on high-performance computing resources. In October 2026 the Portal lists 190 datasets and 160 analysis tools, and 16 datasets were added between September 2025 and August 2026. Every dataset carries a persistent identifier (an ARK) and every tool a DOI, and datasets derived from NeuroLibre publications link directly to those publications. How the Portal governs the data it holds is set out on its Data Governance page.
