How do you ensure your data is shared in a way that most contributes to the generation of new discoveries? Which tools, infrastructure, and standards do you choose to make your data open and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable)? How can the global neuroscience community reach consensus about best practices?
In a research environment beginning to burst with open data, standards, and tools, it can be hard to know where to start. The International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) is an organization dedicated to advancing the reproducibility and reusability of neuroscience research. The INCF brings together the global research community and coordinates efforts to identify, develop, review, and endorse tools and resources that promote open and FAIR research practices. The INCF also provides training on using open standards and best practices to facilitate reproducibility and to publish research outputs, including data and code.
