Milton graduated from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2019 with a B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering with a Medical Imaging specialization at the University of Calgary under the supervision of Dr. Forkert and Dr. Monchi. His main interests pertain to the development and implementation of Interpretable Machine Learning algorithms that target current medical problems.
Parkinson’s Disease is a severe disease characterized by a progressive degeneration of the nervous system. It is associated with a wide variety of motor and non-motor symptoms, which makes the process of finding biological markers a difficult task. My work will focus its efforts in the development of sophisticated Machine Leaning algorithms that can provide reliable and understandable diagnoses of such a challenging disease.
