Another cool feature in http://mousebytes.ca it is easy to quick visualize public data as graphs and we also collect lots of metadata for each experiment. We are now working with @NeuroLibre to make these accessible in their portal

For PREVENT-AD data to be open on CONP, explicit patient consent or complete anonymisation was required. More sensitive data e.g. MRI, is only be shared with qualified researchers. Adrian says they learned a lot from this process and hope to streamline in the future #CONP2019

Dylan describes how outputs and shared resources hosted on CONP should adhere to clear open principles which he has been working on outlining. These include having openly licensed datasets which are free of patents which would limit innovation by others #CONP2019

The range of datasets users were interested in contributing and accessing included imaging, histology, demographics, genomics, metabolomics, epigenetics, cognitive, neuropsych tracking, behavioural, clinical, animal histology - very diverse! #CONP2019

In collaboration with Stephanie Dyke, an end user survey was conducted asking about different types and formats of data users would like to upload, access and use. As we might expect from a broad field like neuroscience, the data will likely be heterogeneous in nature #CONP2019
